HolidayCheck Gold Award

for the Swiss Holiday Park

Only seven hotels in Switzerland received the HolidayCheck Gold Award in 2018. Among them is the Swiss Holiday Park. If a hotel receives the HolidayCheck Award for the fifth time, it is awarded the Gold Award.

The small tourist destination of Stoos-Muotathal is once again world class. Both the Swiss Holiday Park in Morschach and the Seminar and Wellness Hotel Stoos have received the Gold Award from HolidayCheck. In the whole of Switzerland, there are only just seven hotels that can accept the Gold Award 2018 for the past year. The small tourist destination in the canton of Schwyz is therefore above average with one resort and one hotel.

The HolidayCheck Award 2018 winning hotels are the best rated hotels from 2017, with up to ten winning hotels for each holiday region. The individual regions are sorted by travel type and by country.

The crowning glory of the HolidayCheck Awards is the Gold Award. For the fifth time in a row, Switzerland's largest holiday and leisure resort, the Swiss Holiday Park in Morschach/SZ, and the Stoos seminar and wellness hotel on the car-free mountain have won the coveted HolidayCheck Award and thus the rating portal's highest accolade. This once again confirms the consistent implementation of the respective quality and offer strategies, which place the guest at the centre and constantly adapt to market requirements.

The most popular hotels are selected from over one million recommendations by hotel customers. Only hotels that meet the minimum criteria receive the HolidayCheck Award. These are:

  • At least 90% recommendation rate
  • Overall rating of at least 5.0
  • At least 50 reviews from genuine guests in the past year
  • No breach of the HolidayCheck Code of Conduct in the past year
